Child Development Services Supervisor

We are seeking a Child Development Services (CDS) Program Supervisor with experience in early childhood development. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years professional experience in a child related field, i.e. child development or early childhood education. This position provides supervision to the CDS staff, as well as those contracted to work within the CDS program. This position operates under the general direction and supervision of the CDS Program Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess three years’ experience as a Director or Assistant Director in a childcare center and has experience monitoring grants. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with providers, community partners and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be creative and collaborative, with a passionate mission minded staff. This is a grant funded position.
Valid VA driver’s license and auto insurance with good driving record required. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and supervising delivery of services within stated agency objectives, policies, practices and approved budget.
- Monitoring grants to ensure funding is spent appropriately and timely within the requirements of the grant.
- Utilizing resources and building support with subordinates to assist in fulfilling the goals of the program.
- Implementing marketing strategies to improve agency awareness within the community and service delivery area.
