Case Coordination Specialist II

ChildSavers is currently offering a part time career opportunity within our outpatient therapy services working in a beautiful building atop of scenic and historic Church Hill, Richmond VA. The Case Coordination Specialist II is the first point of contact for families seeking services, referrals for services and assists new clients through the intake process. This role also walks through the treatment process with families, providing support when needed with issues such as insurance, community resources, outside referrals, and scheduling logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience in human services and intake coordination, strong interpersonal and computer skills, and have sufficient language skills to conduct client interactions in both English and Spanish.

ChildSavers clinical team offers mental health services including Outpatient Therapy and Immediate Response (composed of Crisis Intervention and Trauma Response) and School Based Services. We serve clients in our Church Hill office as well as within Richmond Public Schools. We work with children and families in the critical moments of their lives to help them survive and thrive.

This position operates under the direction of the Administration and Billing Supervisor.

Education/Experience Requirements

Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related human services field with experience working with children from a trauma informed care perspective.

Must have basic knowledge of insurance companies (Medicaid and Private)

Must hold a valid VA driver’s license.

  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including competency in Excel and Word
  • The ability to establish rapport with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of ability to learn language and navigation of health insurance systems
  • Knowledge of community programs, and
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care
