Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Mission Statement: To increase and deepen the engagement of volunteers and to make them an integral part of the ChildSavers community.

ChildSavers schedules group volunteer opportunities for students, religious organizations, corporate volunteers, and other larger groups. For more information or to inquire about how you can become a volunteer email Marta Waris, Administrative Coordinator at

ChildSavers has limited volunteer opportunities for individuals, including administrative tasks and reading to children in the waiting room. Individuals are encouraged to call and schedule a tour and interview. All individual volunteers need to complete a background check, which takes up to one month. Upon completion, volunteers are scheduled for an opportunity that meets their needs and skill set.

To be notified about future volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals join our volunteer email list!

Children's Holiday Party

Each year ChildSavers hosts a holiday party for the children we serve. Children attend with their families, meet community members and our supporters, and share in the holiday spirit.

Toys, books, costumes, and art supplies are used every day at ChildSavers. Play, sand tray, and art-based therapy help children express themselves when they can’t find words. Many of the child care providers with whom we work serve low-income families and are often unable to afford new supplies.

Translation Skills

As we grow, so do our needs. ChildSavers welcomes Spanish speakers to offer their services as volunteers to help translate our brochures and other marketing materials to be able to reach Latino families that could benefit from our services.

You can help spread the word about ChildSavers by inviting us to speak at your place of business, civic group, religious organization, or other place of gathering. Please contact us for speaking engagements.

Admin Volunteering

ChildSavers often needs help around the office. Individuals with administrative skills to offer can make a difference by lending a hand.

Reading to Children

We have volunteer opportunities for reading to children in our waiting room. The children and their families/guardians always appreciate hearing a good story while they wait.
